I am currently working at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in the small but proud and powerful Pediatric Emergency Room.
UNM Hospital is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the state, as well as being the county hospital for a huge indigent population.
I was a staff nurse in our very busy Pediatric Sub-acute unit.
I am certified in PALS, ACLS, TNCC and ENPC. I also hold a B.S.in Biological Anthropology, and I look forward to beginning my graduate work for Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
I am married to a kind gentleman who holds his doctorate in Geology but works in the computer industry (thanks to NSF funding cuts).
I work and have been trained in an atmosphere of strong nursing independence and autonomy, and look forward to topics in both the RN and the MD arena.

I am a child development specialist with a BS in child development. I teach parenting classes and I have volunteered as a La Leche League Leader for more than 6 years. I am the Minorities Representative to the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners and I have three children, the youngest of whom continues to enjoy our breastfeeding relationship.
